| 2 | Question | ||||
| M003 Detail 1/2, M006 | On M003, detail 1 shows AFMS on the OA and RA, as well as a drain pan and a condensate overflow switch. Some of the control schematics on M006 do not match this detail. For the final controls points counts, can the controls schematics on M006 be used and detail 1 on M003 ignored? Otherwise, please clarify which AHUs detail 1 on M003 applies to. Same thing for detail 2 on M003, but only for the float switch. | ||||
| Answer | |||||
| M003, Detail 1 Notes indicate which AHU's this applies to on M006. M003, Detail 2 applies only to suspended horizontal units indicated in M006 (AHU- 10 thru 13). M003, detail 5 applies to the MAU's. For M-003, these are the unit install details and all control points are not shown. Float switches shall be incorporated into control dagram/schematics/Sequence of Ops (M006). The AFMS are as indicated on M003 and M006. Drain pans are as indicated. | |||||
| 3 | Question | ||||
| M005, detail 3 | On M005, detail 3 shows a total of 27 control valves. Is it the intention for all of these to be new and replaced, or are the valves for the units that are not in the scope being left alone? | ||||
| Answer | |||||
| Control Valves are only to be replaced with the AHU's that are replaced. These are indicated by bolded motor operated valves on detail 3/M005. The valves that are non-bolded are existing and will be left in place. | |||||
| 4 | Question | ||||
| M005, detail 3 | On M005, detail 3 shows a total of 5 flow meters. The 2 meters adjacent to the chillers do not exist and we are planning on new meters. If the other 3 already exist, do you want those replaced, or are they to remain? Same situation and device count applies to the differential pressure transducers. | ||||
| Answer | |||||
| Only Flow Meters (2) at the two new chillers are to be replaced. Differential Pressure transducers (3) are to be replaced at the chillers and at the cross connect from removal of CHWP-5 as shown in bold. | |||||
| 5 | Question | ||||
| M006 | On M006, all 4 unit schematic diagrams (picture below) show pressure and temperature sensors on the inlet and outlet sides of coils, hot and cold. The sequence does not use these points, and they are not listed as a point to generate an alarm condition. On other projects, we have |
removed these points with gov’t approval to generate cost savings. Are these necessary to keep? If so, please advise what you would like to see done with the data or if they are just for viewing purposes on the graphic for the maintenance team.
| Answer | |||||
