Questions & Answers

FA441719Q0188

September 3, 2019

1. In addition to the Minimum Requirements for Aqueous Parts Washer posted on 8-29-19, do you still require the components and options initially posted on 8-9-19? Some of these included: Pump size of 15HP or better, Pump output of 140 PSI at 250 GPM or better and heat of 36KW.

A: No, all the minimum requirements were already given per our T.O.’s

1. How do you wish to have the wash and rinse tanks heated: Electric, Gas or Steam?

A: Electric

1. In the information posted on 8-29-19, it states that the Wall Power Unit is a maximum of 600V/60 amps. Can you verify that it is only 60 amps? To achieve some of the requirements listed, especially with electric heat, you will be approaching 150-200 amps. If it is in fact only 60 amps, are you open to the possibility of increasing this?

A: Those were the power limits posted on the main power box on the wall. If there is not a unit that can dry with those power requirements, then the forced air drying is not necessary.

1. In the information posted on 8-29-19, you reference three different cleaning compound: Calla296, DSF-1 and SB 300 LFM. I am assuming that these will be used only in the wash tank, is this correct?

A: They will be used in the wash tank and used during the wash cycle.

1. Also, it states that a rinse cycle is required following the clean cycle. What do you plan to use in the rinse cycle…another chemical compound…water? The purpose of a Rinse cycle is to remove the cleaning chemical in the Wash cycle. If you plan on using the same chemical in the Wash and Rinse cycles, all you really are doing is washing the components twice.

A: Just water.

1. Is the purpose of this wash unit still primarily to clean the MLG Wheels at 24”W x19”H and NLG Wheels at 18”W x 7”H? If not what are the sizes and weights of the intended components?

A: Still the same wheels and size.

1. If the wheels are still to be cleaned, with vertically stacked turntables and a working height of 30”, you plan to lay these wheels down flat…correct?

A: Yes.

1. What is the anticipated production rate of the washed components? How many do we need to clean per hour?

A: 8

1. Are we primarily still removing grease, dirt and brake dust?

A: Yes.

1. Do you require a bag filtration system? If so, for just the wash or wash and rinse stages?

A: No. As long as there are separate wash and rinse cycle, and rinse is just water.

1. Is there any tolerance for the length listed in the Exterior Maximum Dimensions (2 inches)?

A: The maximum exterior dimensions are 94” L x 94” W x 95” H.

1. I didn’t see anywhere that stainless steel was dictated on the minimum specifications. Is this no longer needed?

A: Stainless steel is required.
