Requirement Update

FA441719Q0188

September 10, 2019

There has been a brand new 480V, three-phase, 400 amp panel installed replacing the old wall power unit. The new panel is currently wired to the old breaker which is 225 amps. A new breaker will need to be installed. The purchase of the washer shall include the associated electrical connection back to the main panel including: disconnect, wire, conduit, and breaker in the new panel.

Old Requirement:

Wall power unit:

Maximum 600V/60AMP. Current unit is a 460V three phase unit.

Installation of new washer:

Maximum 480V/400AMP. Current unit is a 480V three phase unit.

Installation of new washer:

Required to include associated electrical connection back to the main panel including: disconnect, wire, conduit, and breaker in the new panel.

Questions Received from above update

1) Are you asking the vendors to install a breaker in your panel?

A: Yes, a breaker will be installed in a new breaker panel. Please see picture attached.

2) How far away is this machine?

A: The breaker panel is approximately 60 feet from the parts washer.

3) How long does the run need to be?

A: The run is 60 feet from the breaker panel to the parts washer.

4) Does it need to go through any floors/walls?

A: The wiring will feed through a conduit in the drop ceiling and be mounted to a bracket. Please see photo.

5) Does it matter how it’s run?

A: The wiring will be run through the ceiling please see photo from question 4.

The new parts washer will be delivered through a roll up door, and its measurement is slightly larger than 9’ tall x 8’ wide. The current parts washer that needs to be removed is approximately 9’ tall x 7’7” wide.

The parts washer will be installed in a pit that is approx 9” deep.

The new power conduit will be installed above the drop ceiling to the new power panel shown in photo 1, for estimating purposes, the distance is approx 60’.
