About this file
This document is a Requests For Information (RFIs) log for RFQ #FA440726QTR04, FY26 Upgrade of Vehicle Wash Racks. Four RFIs were received on September 4, 2026, and forwarded to the customer/technical expert on September 8, 2026, with responses provided on September 9, 2026.
RFI #1 addressed the absence of a compressed air source in the equipment list and Statement of Work. The Government clarified via SOW Amendment 1 (09-09-26) that Building 548 will require an air compressor to be furnished and installed by the contractor, while Building 570 does not require a new compressor but will require installation to a pre-existing air compressor for the wash system. RFI #2 questioned whether a 30,000 BTU radiant heater in Building 548 could be ceiling-mounted rather than wall-mounted; the Government confirmed via Amendment 1 that two heaters are required for Building 548. RFI #3 requested clarification on relocating an overhead pressure washer in Building 570, and the Government confirmed the washer should be moved toward the center of the bay per Amendment 1, Section 3.0-J. RFI #4 requested an extension of the quote due date, which was granted; the new deadline is September 14, 2026, at 12:00 PM Central Time, as documented in Amendment 1.

Compressed air. The equipment list in paragraphs 2.0 and 3.0 does not include a compressed air source, and no air compressor appears in the Statement of Work. Multi-function self-serve wand systems commonly rely on compressed air for chemical injection, foam brush operation, and cold-weather line purge. Please state whether an existing compressed air supply is available in the equipment rooms of Building 548 and Building
570. If none is available, we recommend the Government state whether furnishing and installing an air compressor is within the contractor's scope.
Please see updated SOW Amendment 1 - 09-09- 26, Section 2.0-P and Section 3.0-P. B548 will require air compressor, B570 does not but will require installtion to pre-existing air compressor to wash system.

2 4-Sep-26 8-Sep-26 Bldg 548: You currently have 2 radiant heaters and the SOW specifies one 30,000 BTU radiant heater. Is it acceptable to center this heater in the space, hanging from the ceiling, instead of mounting it on the wall?
Please see updated SOW Amendment 1 - 09-09- 26, confirmed 2 heaters for Bldg 548.
9-Sep-26
3 4-Sep-26 8-Sep-26 Bldg 570: we are removing 2 systems. Did you want the overhead pressure washer to be moved towards the center of the bay?
