AMBULANCE SERVICE AT SCOTT AFB IL

SOLICITATION # FA4407-09-R-0002

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS OF

06 MARCH 2009

Question # 1. If the Offeror is not a current provider of ambulance service in the State of Illinois, will that Offeror have his proposal considered, based on Section 52.212-1 PROPOSAL PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS, Part III?

Answer: The requirement of proof of licensing at time of proposal submission remains as required. Licensing per the state coordinator takes an average of 60-90 days to process. This acquisition must start 1 May 2009 with no exceptions.

Question # 2. How are the crews dispatched currently and upon contract award?

Would they be dispatched directly by 911 or would 911 call their office then dispatch the crew?

Answer: The current ambulance crews are contacted from their central dispatch center. Upon award, if we followed the call mapping, Cencom would contact the vendor's dispatch station. This would only change if the time between Cencom notifying the company's dispatch center and then the crews being notified negatively impacts response rate.

See accompanying diagram of SAFB EMS Call Mapping v5.of 26 Feb 09-one page.
