QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
DATE: 24 SEP 07
QUESTION 1: In reference to contractor provided equipment:
Is there an age requirement on the equipment, in particular the tug?
What size tug is required?
ANSWER: There is no age requirement on the tug/aircraft tow vehicles. Regarding the size of the tug, refer to paragraph 3.6.5 of the revised Performance Work Statement (PWS) dated 18 Sep 07, incorporated by Amendment 0002 dated 18 Sep 07.
QUESTION 2: The following question is submitted in conjunction with subject solicitation. Standard Form 1444 (sic) dated September 4, 2007 indicates this acquisition is set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. How does the government verify a Small Business Company is in fact owned by a Disabled Veteran?
Registration with the Central Contractor Registration does not require any documentation to verify the company is owned by a Disabled Veteran, or for that matter is also a small business.
ANSWER: Refer to the CCR Handbook dated Aug 2007, page 10 and page 11. Business Types are inserted automatically into the CCR registration by the Small Business Administration (SBA). Socio-economic factors are no longer self-certified. SBA will validate.
