About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for the SAFB Lodging Pest Control solicitation (FA302025Q0040). The Q&A provides critical clarifications about the pest control contract, including scope of services, facility details, and service expectations. Key details include: the contract covers general pest control for multiple buildings totaling approximately 395,000 square feet across various lodging facilities, with quarterly service frequency (though monthly service may be considered). The government will handle specialized pest issues like bed bugs, termites, rodents, and mosquitoes through base Entomology, leaving the contractor responsible for general pest control.

The solicitation is a total set-aside for small businesses, with a base year from 20 June 2025 to 30 September 2026 and two potential option years extending through 30 September 2028. The contract requires callbacks/re-treatments within 48 hours, and exterior treatment will cover landscaped areas within 50 feet of lodging buildings. Notably, the government will allow prime contractors without direct pest industry experience to qualify through subcontractors. The solicitation closes at 1500 hrs (CT) on 11 June 2025, with quotes valid through 30 September 2025, and is administered by the Department of the Air Force Air Education and Training Command.
