About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract opportunity FA301626Q0195, a small business set-aside for Instructor Bay Furniture at JBSA Lackland, Texas. The cutoff date for contractor questions was 10:00 AM CST on July 23, 2026, with proposal submissions due by 10:00 AM CST on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. The delivery requirement is 90 days after award.
The contract requires contractors to furnish and install office furniture systems including modular workstations with panels, task chairs, and tables, as well as removal and disposal of existing furniture to a recycling center at Point Mugu (9 miles from Port Hueneme). Key specifications include: panels measuring approximately 65.5"H and 50"H (with 48"H acceptable for lower panels), with laminate facing outward and fabric on interior workstation sides; 90-degree float tables measuring 60"W x 48"W x 24"D; and high-back task chairs with 5-star polished aluminum bases. The government will provide an electrician for final power connections to the facility, while the contractor handles all internal furniture panel connections and preparation. The installation occurs on the first floor in a single-story building with no stairs required and approximately 20 feet from truck off-load to installation location. Contractors must use a truck with a lift gate as no loading dock is available. All measurements in the Statement of Work are approximate, and nominal differences in sizes, panel widths, and electrical components (such as 4-circuit 8-wire powerways instead of specified configurations) are acceptable as long as design and function meet requirements. Small business contractors may include products from non-small business manufacturers.
