About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for RFP# FA301626R0020 issued by the Department of the Air Force, 502D Air Base Wing at Joint Base San Antonio.
The document addresses a single inquiry regarding the configuration of restroom facilities. A contractor questioned whether an alternative setup to the specified "4 on each side" requirement would be acceptable, submitting an image showing eight portable restroom units arranged in a single row. The Government response clarifies that while the proposed configuration could technically function, the preferred design is four stations on each side divided by a wall, as shown in the attached reference image from the previous year. The Government emphasizes that the wall-divided configuration is necessary to control pedestrian traffic flow and to maintain designated separate restrooms for male and female users.

RESPONSES TO QUESTIONS
RFP# FA301626R0020
1. What exactly is meant by 4 on each side? Is something like this acceptable? (See below)
GOVERNMENT RESPONSE: Even though it would work, we would prefer having the other setup with four stations on each side divided by a wall. See attached picture from last year. This ensures that we control of pedestrian traffic and designated restrooms for male and female restrooms.
