About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) attachment for a vent cleaning solicitation (FA301625Q6179) issued by the Department of the Air Force Air Education and Training Command at JBSA Randolph. The solicitation covers a one-time cleaning/dusting of vents, metal extensions, and indoor roofing in the Randolph Fitness Center, involving approximately 20,000 square feet with 16 vents and ductwork up to 40 feet high. Key clarifications include permission to use scissor lifts with rubber wheels, confirmation of external vent cleaning only, and specification that the government will not provide equipment. The contractor is required to provide all labor, tools, equipment, and materials to clean external HVAC ceiling supply and return vents, with specific instructions to clean visible surfaces of vent grilles and surrounding ceiling areas affected by airflow dust deposits, while explicitly avoiding internal HVAC system components.
