Q. Will the government identify/provide the commercial ISP vendor(s) providing service to the installation through the DEMARC in building 2225?

A. Pending NETCOM response. This has been requested but we do not anticipate receiving a response before close of the RFQ.

Q. Will the Government please provide the building number for the FSH NEC?

A. Bldg 2265

Q. Will the Government please provide the street address for building 2225?

A. 2462 Stanley Road, JBSA Fort Sam Houston, TX 78234

Q. Will the government accept a centrally managed cloud based solution?

A. Yes

Q. If the Government permits a cloud management solution, are there any concerns or prohibitions tying it to an ITSM solution (such as ServiceNow)?

A. Yes

Q. Will the Government accept contractor derived Access Points (AP) quantities and locations?

A. Yes, this is a contractor engineered and managed solution

Q. Will the Government please indicate who is expected to order the circuit? Government or contractor?

A. Contractor is expected to order and manage circuit install and maintenance as needed

Q. Will the Government please clarify the information required for the Website Dashboard with Metrics/reporting?

A. This can be a read only portal or portals from the firewall/wireless manager showing usage statistics, sites visited, log access

Q. Will the Government please identify if there is a required tool for conducting vulnerability scanning of the network?

A. No. Industry best practice is allowable.

Q. Will the Government please identify the frequency of vulnerability scanning of the network?

A. As dictated in RMF

Q. Will the Government please specify the Log Retention requirements (e.g., how long the logs must be retained)?

A. As dictated in RMF

Q. Does the Government intend to provide any specific configuration requirements for Firewall or Content Filtering configuration?

A. Yes, there will be specific sites to whitelist but after a blacklist is implemented. Specific sites will be determined as they are made known by students

Q. Can the Government please confirm if the term "Network Security" is defined in terms of the follow-on sub-bullets? If not, please specifically define the scope of the term "Network Security".

A. Network security as defined by the implemented RMF controls to protect and audit the network for intrusion and mitigate threats

Q. Will the Government please confirm the language referenced does not require the contractor to go through the RMF process and that the intent is to ensure the solution would meet RMF assessment criteria for Low/Low/Low?

A. The solution will go through the RMF process as registered by the government in Emass and approved by the designated approving authority in our chain of command

Q. Will the Government be coordinating CSSP consent to monitor?

A. Yes, the government will coordinate

Q. Will the Government confirm there is adequate space for the lockable cabinets?

A. Yes there is adequate space for lockable cabinet

Q. Will the Government coordinate/facilitate contractor installation of additional electrical outlets with installation engineering if required?

A. Yes, the government will submit contractor requests for electrical to the 502nd CE for approval

Q. If the Contractor needs to install additional electrical outlets, will the Government confirm there is adequate breaker capacity to support additional outlets?

A. It will need to be confirmed as needed

Q. Will escorts be required for this portion of the work?

A. All work will be unescorted

Q. What hours will the facility be available for this portion of the work?

A. Normal duty hours 0700-1600

Q. Will there be a secure area for contractor personnel to store their equipment during this portion of the work?

A. There is no space that can be limited exclusively to the contractor however space in our mechanical rooms which only certain individuals within the government have access to can be used

Q. How much time at the end, but within, the period of performance will the contractor be afforded to remove all equipment and cabling?

A. It has not been discussed at this point so we will need to come up with a reasonable expectation. A safe assumption would be half the time it took to install it

Q. If the terms of service are different or more explicit than those listed in the SON, will the Government please specify the expected terms of the Service Agreement?

A. Please refer to the Statement of Need

Q. Will the Government please explain their expectation for monitoring, management, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for the available Government fiber from bldg 2225 to bldg 1394 and 2841? This needs to be addressed to facilitate response to helpdesk calls that may result from an issue with this segment of the network.

A. If an issue is determined to be related to the government fiber between buildings government POC from 502nd CS will respond to test the cable if it is verified that the government fiber is the source of the problem then it will be within the governments timeframe to repair the cable

Q. Will the Government please confirm this help desk requirement is for the network only and not for individual user issues related to end/client devices?

A. The helpdesk will need to be both for network issues and the individual clients troubleshooting ability to connect to the network. The helpdesk workload can be expected to intake individual students as they call in with problems connecting to the Wi-Fi on personal devices

Q. Can contractor cable share existing cable pathways with existing Government cable? If no, what are the requirements for installing cable pathways within the facilities? Please share standards documents A. Yes

Q. Please confirm the absence of asbestos and lead paint in the impacted facilities?

A. Lead paint and asbestos do exist in building 2841 however it has been abated in some areas and not in others. There should be no lead paint or asbestos in building 1394 as it was built about 15 years ago

Q. Please identify the cable type ( Riser, plenum, etc. ) required for these facilities?

A. That is up to the contractor to determine what they want to use as long as they are compliant with I3A and UFC

Q. Please confirm the IUID labeling is required for leased equipment?

A. Some kind of identification will be needed to differentiate between vendor wireless access points and government owned wireless access points that already exist in the facility. The type of labeling used is up to the vendor

Q. Please identify where pricing for contractor removal at end of task order is to be represented in the schedule of supplies?

A. If there is an associated cost for removal, a contractor may add an additional CLIN to the schedule of supplies accordingly. All CLINS will be added together for the Total Evaluated Price.

Q. Please detail contractor responsibilities for removal. Are all cable pathways where required, electrical outlets, grounding bus bars, backboards, cabinets also to be removed?

A. All cabling will be need to be removed along with its cabinets. Electrical outlets grounding backboards and any cable pathways that were created can all stay

Q. Please detail the contractor’s responsibility for mounting surfaces where equipment has been removed?

A. If equipment caused any damage to structure or surface wall it will need to be repaired to original condition and match surrounding
