About this file
This document is an Addendum to a federal contract opportunity for the Controls Phase II project at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi. The key changes in the addendum include:
- Revising the technical scope to require the new control systems to be compatible with the base's existing Metasys or Desigo building automation systems, with no use of third-party BACnet points.
- Allowing the reuse of existing control panel enclosures if in good condition at the government's discretion, and requiring new control wiring per the revised Statement of Work.
- Modifying the qualification requirements for the BMS contractor, reducing the required years of experience from 10 to 5 years, and the total project value from 10 times the contract value to at least the contract value.
The related federal contract opportunity is a small business set-aside solicitation for the Controls Phase 2 project, with an estimated value between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. An organized site visit is scheduled for July 25, 2024, and proposal instructions are provided in Sections L and M of the solicitation.
