Initial Flight Training (IFT) RFI Questions and Responses FA3002-15-R-IFT
Question 1: Does the 15 page restriction include the Business Info requested in Part 1, or do we have 15 pages to answer the 14 questions in Part II?
Answer 1: Both the business information and responses to questions are restricted to the 15 page limit.
Question 2: How are these services currently being performed under a contract or by the Government?
Answer 2: These services are currently being performed under contract FA3002-06-D-0011. The current contract is labeled Initial Flight Screening (IFS) and is performed at the contractor’s facility at Pueblo, Colorado.
Question 3: Who is the current contractor?
Answer 3: DOSS Aviation is the current contractor.
Question 4: When does the current contract expire?
Answer 4: The current contract expires on 30 Sept 2016.
Question 5: What is the current contract value?
Answer 5: The contract award amount was $178,218,942.
Question 6: What is the anticipated RFP release date?
Answer 6: The Government currently does not have an anticipated release date.
Question 7: Would it be possible to base IFT from a military base?
Answer 7: IAW the draft PWS paragraph 1.2.13.1, “the Contractor shall furnish everything needed to perform this contract”.
Question 8: Please confirm that this is an open bid and that the award can be made to any bidder at any location.
Answer 8: RFI FA3002-15-R-IFT states under the purpose section that one of the reasons market research is being conducted is to determine (b) potential training locations. Additionally in the description section under location, the RFI states "The training will be conducted at location(s) determined by the contractor." Note: the proposed location(s) would have to meet the stated requirements in the PWS and the RFP.
