Pre-proposal Conference /Industry Day
15 May 07
Solicitation FA3002-06-R-0004
Maxwell-Gunter AFB Base Operating Support
Conference will be held on 15 May 07 on Maxwell AFB, Bldg 742, NCO Club also called Maxwell Enlisted Club (MEC). Registration will begin at 0830 and run until 0900. Conference begins at 0900.
All visitors must enter the base through the Bell Street Gate. Your name will be checked against a list provided to the Gate Guards so it is important that you registered by sending your name to Ms Linda Lowmiller, linda.lowmiller@maxwell.af.mil no later than 10 May 07.
Directions from Interstate 85 going South. Take the Interstate 65 North exit and stay in the right lane, do not enter 65. This will take you on the Herron Street exit. Continue to go straight through two traffic lights. At the third traffic light it will be a T intersection and you will go left. This will be Bell Street. Continue until you see the Visitor Gate entrance. You will take a right off of Bell Street.
Directions coming Interstate 65 South from Birmingham. Take the Clay Street exit (172) and follow the Maxwell AFB signs. You will bear to your left and then another left back over Interstate 65. Take a left again and continue straight through a traffic light. At the next traffic light which is a T intersection go left. This will be Bell Street. Continue until you see the Visitor Gate entrance. You will take a right off of Bell Street.
Directions coming Interstate 65 North from Mobile. Take the Herron Street exit and follow the directions from Interstate 85.
Once you go through the Bell Street gate, take a left at the first traffic light. Follow this road as it winds around with the fence on your left. Before you get to the next traffic light the MEC (NCO Club) will be on your right.
Viewing the Annex for the Contingency Response proposal. The first chance to view this will be on 16 May 07 by scheduling an appointment with Ms Linda Lowmiller. You will need to provide a visit request to Ms Debra Downey by sending a request with the person’s name and Social Security Number so that clearance can be verified. No one will be able to view the Annex unless this information has been provided and an appointment is scheduled. Provide this information by 10 May 07. (See Section L, paragraph 5.2 & 5.3)
Rules of Engagement for Pre-proposal Conference/Industry Day and Site Visit
• Cameras, video recorders and audio recorders are not allowed during the Pre-proposal Conference/Industry Day presentations, the site visit or the viewing the Annex for the Contingency Operation Response.
• The RFP takes precedence if conflicts arise between the Pre-proposal Conference/Industry Day presentation, the site visit and the RFP.
• Nothing is official until put in writing.
• Tour guides are not obligated to repeat information.
• All site visit attendees will ride on a "Government Furnished" bus and a Government Representatives will be present on each bus. The majority of the facilities, buildings and/or sections of buildings will be on a “drive-by” basis only for the site visit. Government Representatives will inform the site visit attendees which facilities they will be allowed to enter.
• Any questions you may have during the tour shall be written on Comment/Question Forms (Government Furnished) by the attendee and turned in to the designated Government Representative at the end of the tour.
• Absolutely no interaction with current employees will be allowed.
• "One on One" meetings will be available after the site visit on the 15th of May only. These meetings are limited to 15 minutes. Attendees are required to sign up for the "One on One" meeting at the time of registration between 0830 and 0900. Note: Only one meeting per contractor will be allowed.
• All “Written” questions with the official answers will be posted on FedBizOpps.
