FLECS Pathfinder Maintenance and Repair
Questions and Answers (Set 2)
1. Can we get a list of the existing spares/equipment that will be provided?
Answer: An updated Equipment Inventory (7 Apr) spreadsheet has been attached that includes the current quantities of spare parts.
2. Will the Government provide all current equipment manuals and related documentation to the contractor upon award of the contract?
Answer: The Government DOES NOT have copies of the equipment manuals or any related documentation.
3. Will a current contact list for OEM vendors be provided upon award of the contract?
Answer: These WILL NOT be provided. The contractor will need to seek out their own vendors for parts and pricing. The Equipment Inventory spreadsheet has many of the vendors attached to the specific part.
4. Please confirm that low voltage electronics and cabling within Node Boxes and enclosures containing the 105 PLCs are maintained under a separate contract and are not to be maintained under this contract.
Answer: The 105 PLCs will be part of the resulting contract with regards to the operation of the Rated Gates. Each 105 PLC is located within each gate operator box where a Rated gate is located.
5. Please provide the current spares list to support organizational level maintenance to remove/replace at the LRU level required for the 30-day (CONUS)/45-day (OCONUS) repair cycle while assuming continuous system operation.
Answer: See attached Updated Equipment Inventory (7 Apr) spreadsheet.
6. Will the current sparing inventory be transferred to the new contractor?
Answer: Yes, the current sparing inventory will be transferred to the new contractor.
a. At who’s cost?
Answer: The Government will transfer the existing spares to the new contractor.
b. What does the inventory consist of (part descriptions and qty’s)
Answer: See attached Updated Equipment Inventory (7 Apr) spreadsheet.
