STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)

FOR CONSTRUCTION

FTFA 13-9005

Repair HVAC and Interior, Dining Hall, Bldg 3017

25 June 2015

1. GENERAL INTENTION: The Contractor shall provide construction services for the subject project as indicated in this statement of work. In general, this work will consist of HVAC system repair and serving line enlargement, and interior improvements, associated electrical work and incidental related work, as indicated on the contract documents.

2. This Statement of Work is general in nature. Refer to the contract drawings and specifications for details. The

Contractor shall furnish all parts, labor, tools, materials, plant, and transportation necessary to perform work required in this contract. Work shall be performed in accordance with the requirements and regulations set forth in the plans, specifications, and the contract documents.

3. PROJECT CONSISTS OF THE FOLLOWING WORK:

A. HVAC-Demo the existing Chiller, Air Handlers, Boiler, Pumps, and associated piping. The ductwork in the mechanical room shall be demoed and replaced: however, the ductwork outside of the mechanical room will remain and be cleaned. Hot water heating coils will be added to the existing VAV boxes associated with AHU-2. The dining room is served by AHU-1 and is a single zone unit. The four Make-Up Air Units (MAU) located on the mezzanine will be removed and replaced by two Liquid Dessicant Units (LDU) and two MAUs. The roof mounted exhaust fans will remain. EF-5 is an in-line fan that exhausts the dish and pot wash rooms and it shall be demoed and replaced.

DDC controls will be provided and integrated into Eglin’s UMCS system. Test and Balance will be required for all new and existing equipment to remain. Commissioning of new systems will be required.

B. ARCHITECTURAL-The serving line enlargement will require moving two structural columns. This will intel associated concrete slab and foundation work. The dining area and will be renovated including new tile floor, paint, and ceilings. Existing fluorescent downlights to remain, however some will be relocated. Spray foam insulation will be provided to seal top of existing masonry wall to bottom of existing metal roof deck. A roof access and platform will be provided to allow access to existing roof exhaust fans.

C. PLUMBING-New handwash stations and water fountains will be provided in the foyer area. Installing the drains will require associated concrete work.

D. ELECTRICAL-Electrical work will be required for all associated systems to be installed including fire alarm and mass notification systems. Lightning protection will be provided for the roof access platform.

4. EQUIPMENT, MATERIALS, PRODUCTS, AND SUPPLIES: All equipment, materials, products, and supplies installed in this project shall be newly manufactured of the latest version unless otherwise specified in the SOW, specifications or drawings. Replacement parts shall be standard and readily available through commercial means;

coordinated with Base Civil Engineering shops for standards and stocked items. Discontinued products will not be accepted or approved by the Contracting Officer.

5. LOCATION: The work is located at Duke Field, Eglin AFB Reservation, Florida. Reference Drawing Index T-

001, Sheet 1 of 45 for Bldg 3017 location.

6. SITE INSPECTION: Prospective bidders are expected to visit the areas of work and verify all conditions and dimensions. A Pre-proposal site visit will be conducted as stated in the solicitation.

7. SUBMITTALS: To be discussed at the preconstruction meeting include, but are not be limited to: Project

Schedule, Shop Drawings, Material Submittals, Work permits, Utility Outage Requests, Utility Connection

Requests, Welding Permits, and Burning Permits. All submittals will be provided on a completed AF Form 3000, Material Approval Submittal and submitted to the Contract Specialist. All submittals will include all of the necessary and applicable material/equipment information required to clearly identify what is being submitted, listing any options on items, model number etc. Reference Specification Section 01 33 00, Submittal Procedures.

-The contractor is responsible for marking and verifying all utilities not marked.

8. CONFLICTS: In case of conflict between different Air Force standards or other any information herein this document, the more stringent requirement criteria and/or work-effort shall apply and take precedence.

9. PROJECT COMPLETION: Provide (1) hard copy set, and one (1) Mylar set of As-Built drawings upon completion of the construction of the project. As-builts are also to be provided in .pdf format and .dwg format

(AutoCAD). Electronic Design Deliverables are to comply with UFC 1-300-10, Electronic Design Deliverables

(EDD) Manual of Policies and Procedures.

10. COMPLETION DATE: The Period of Performance (POP) is 305 Calendar days (10 months) from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
