SUBJECT: FA2823-10-R-0010, FTFA083904, Renovate Building 1306, Eglin AFB, FL, Questions & Answers: 1 June 2010

1. The Legend shows the new walls as a wall having diagonal line thru it and calls out 3/A3 which is a CMU partition. However, the wall between rooms 113 and 115 call out section 2/A3 which is a metal stud partition. The door details are showing metal studs. Please clarify.

Answer: The wall between 113 and 115 should be metal stud, we apologize for the confusion. Drawing A2 will be corrected prior to resulting contract.

2. I understand the vault door at the front entrance for tight security, but why a standard H.M. door on the side of the building. Please clarify.

Answer: This door will not be used on a day to day basis. It is only used for emergency purposes with the crash door hardware on it. No hardware will be on the outside of the door. It will constantly be tied into the alarm if opened. There is no need for a vault door for that reason.

3. The project synopsis states that "That the entire facility will be constructed to sensitive compartment information facility (SCIF) security standards." Is the project to be constructed under DCID 6/9 standards?

Answer: Yes, the entire building will be built according to DCID 6/9 standards as it is an existing accredited SCIF to remain in operation.

4. Is there a TSCM assigned to the project?

Answer: No

5. Is there any additional "TEMPEST" requirements for the facility not shown on the drawings?

Answer: The following TEMPEST countermeasures are not required:

1. RF shielding

2. RF window film

3. Signal line isolators and filters

4. Power line filters

5. Non-conductive sections

6. Telephone/telecommunication signal line filters

There are no additional TEMPEST requirements at this time.

6. The door schedule calls for door No.1 (Vault door) to be 3'-4" x 7'-0", but the only approved GSA Class 5 vault door is only 3'-4" x 6'-6". For this bid, do you want the approved smaller door in this bid, or do you want the larger 7'-0" size, which is a custom size, higher price and not approved by the GSA? Also the specs call for" with optical device IIL and without an optical device H ". Please advise.

Answer: The optical device is not required. Bid the vault door as specified in the solicitation documents.
