About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for the 3TES Furniture Room 308 solicitation at Schriever Space Force Base. The document provides 66 clarifications on furniture specifications, installation requirements, and site conditions to guide contractor proposals.

Furniture and Design Specifications: The SOW supersedes salient characteristics regarding desk dimensions. Desks on the 4-station wall and 2-station wall are 4 feet wide with 30-inch depth. Conference tables require non-powered tables with cable holes, no power modules or color accents. Mesh office chairs must have mesh backs with upholstered seats; upholstered guest chairs can be polly shell with metal frames and padded seats, requiring arms but no casters. Cubicles use benching stations with 42-inch panels (Frame & Tile system preferred), with grommets required but no desk lamps, keyboard trays, or monitor arms. Demountable walls consist of solid fabric/laminate materials from base to 8 feet, with glass allowed above 8 feet; all walls must have locking doors. Desk materials should be laminate. Room 308C includes a credenza; room layouts and desk quantities follow the updated floor plan provided, superseding previous designs. The break area requires kitchen-style wall cabinets.

Installation and Logistics: Installation occurs on the 3rd floor during normal business hours (0800-1600) with both standard and freight elevators available. Furniture offloads at the loading dock on the opposite side of the building's first floor; no lift gate or stair carry is required. The contractor is responsible for removing and disposing of existing furniture, with power disconnections/reconnections and light removal/relocation also contractor responsibilities. Installation is expected to occur in succession without delay between removal and setup. The solicitation is a Small Business Set-a-Aside subject to the Non-Manufacturer Rule, requiring both dealer and manufacturer to be small businesses. Ceiling height is 10 feet with ceiling tiles.
