About this file
This is a Question and Answer document from a site visit at 10 SOPS Point Mugu regarding console furniture requirements, dated January 21, 2025.
The Q&A provides detailed specifications about the console furniture installation, including: power requirements (plug-in under floor, not hardwired), CPU accommodation (18"x9"x23"), monitor configurations (9 monitors per console, preferably single level), track-mounted LED task lights (8 individual lights), and phone tray requirements (24 mountable trays for landline phones). Only two consoles in the middle will be height-adjustable with programmable settings for 4 positions. The contractor must move existing consoles to a courtyard behind the 10 SOPS building. Additional specifications include mesh backing and seats for 24/7 chairs, laminate material for bookshelves (4' wide by 72" tall) and filing cabinets, and a black/gray color scheme throughout. The work surface must be durable, non-porous, stain-resistant acrylic or high-pressure laminate material. Cable management and wire integration into the consoles is required, and both NIPR and SIPR capabilities are needed.

Can the security screen requirement be removed? If screens are stacked (more than one screen high), then security screens are not required. Security screens are only required for single-level screen solution.

Possible line of sight issues for operators sitting behind the first row If screens are stacked (more than one screen high), then security screens are not required.
