About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file related to a federal contract opportunity for the installation of new carpet in three rooms within Building 210 on Schriever Space Force Base. The carpet is currently in serviceable condition but there is some normal wear and tear. No furniture removal will be needed, and the facility was built in 2000 so there are no asbestos or other hazardous material concerns.

The solicitation is a firm fixed-price requirement under the USAF Carpet Program, with Mohawk as the Tier 1 manufacturer. The Tier 2 contract will be a 100% small business set-aside. No security clearances are required for personnel accessing the facility, and normal business hours (0700-1600 M-F) can be accommodated, with the option for work outside those hours. The base around the bottom of the wall will be installed per the revised Performance Work Statement.
