About this file
This Performance Work Statement outlines requirements for installing new flooring at Buckley Space Force Base's Fire Station for the 460th Civil Engineering Squadron Fire Emergency Services. The project involves quartz flooring installation in two areas: a 975 sq ft garage/weight room and a 5,995 sq ft main apparatus bay floor.
The main apparatus bay requires a chemical-resistant floor coating that can withstand exposure to diesel fuel, hydraulic fluid, transmission fluid, and brake fluid, as well as hot tire pickup from fire trucks over 20 tons. The installation includes a double broadcast quartz system with 100% solid epoxy base and intermediate coats, followed by a gray-tinted grout coat. The garage/weight room area requires a deco flake floor coating with black, white, gray, and red flakes, finished with a slip-resistant clear topcoat. The work must be completed within 120 days of order receipt, performed during normal business hours (7 AM-4 PM, Monday-Friday), and will be split into two phases covering 5 truck parking areas each. The contractor must provide all equipment and materials, and technicians must pass background checks to enter the base.
