2. There will be twelve (12) 56 PAX buses present Saturday morning at 0400 to be staged at the designated participant security area on the Cape Canaveral Space Force
Hangar F. This is to allow buses to be escorted through security checkpoints. Buses not present at this time will not be allowed onto the installation as additional escort services/ opportunities are not scheduled.
3. Bus drivers will be required to do day and night training event for all drivers of the pre-race bus routes no later than the first full week of December, with training in November and early December. This constitutes the two variable training events. All drivers driving buses will need to practice or be present in a vehicle for a day run and night run of the respective routes for the performance. This is so that all drivers are physically familiar with the respective routes on the 10 miler race event. Actual date for the training events is variable/negotiable as suitable to satisfactory completion of the performance. Route will include pre and post-race transportation.
4. Buses for the T-Minus 10-Miler will be staged in place by 0400. Buses will run a continuous shuttle service from the security area of the race to the start line drop off where participants will disembark. This is the pre-race route. Provide support from
0400-0700 for a continuous bus loop where drivers will be expected to run as many rounds as needed during the respective time frame. Then all drivers will be escorted to the next busing location to be in place NLT 0800.
a. The buses are to stay within the outlined route unless instructed by event staff.
Maps are subject to change due to parking availability. Contractor will be notified before first dry run.
5. Contractor is responsible for providing personnel eligible to work on government installations and capable of completing a background check with local security forces to obtain base clearance and access. Access to Cape Canaveral Space Force Station requires that personnel not be a felon and MUST BE A US CITIZEN. Access request should be submitted NLT than 3 weeks in advance of actual base entry. Additional time will NOT be provided in the event that provided personnel are unable to gain base entry. It is the contractor’s responsibility to preemptively verify capability of their personnel to pass a background check. See Attachment 2 – Badge Request for personnel submission requirements. Submission is not required until an award is made. It is suggested the contractor once awarded works access requests as soon as possible for the duration of the contract performance. It is heavily recommended that contractors use US citizens or otherwise personnel that they are confident will pass background checks to and be cleared to work on a military installation.
