About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for solicitation FA252126QB085, addressing inquiries regarding the procurement of 130 dormitory mattresses for Patrick Space Force Base in Florida. The requirement encompasses delivery, installation, and removal of existing mattresses across two three-story dormitory buildings (506 and 505), with 128 standard rooms and two ADA-compliant rooms. Installation must occur between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM to accommodate the approximately 95% occupancy rate, with coordination to ensure residents are absent from work areas during the installation period.
The mattresses must meet specifications for a 1000 Series Coil Unit spring system with brand-name or equivalent foam encasement as detailed in the Salient Characteristics document. Contractors are responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary for procurement, delivery, installation, and off-base disposal of existing mattresses in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Building 506 provides direct trailer access via a large parking lot from three sides, while Building 505 has limited access from the east side only. No elevators are available in either building; access is via three sets of stairs. Quotations must be submitted in PDF or Word format with detailed technical information demonstrating product characteristics, installation capability, and completion timeline. Contractor personnel must comply with Patrick Space Force Base access requirements, including REAL ID-compliant identification and valid driver's licenses. No third-party test reports beyond federal mattress flammability requirements are mandated, and disposal documentation is not required.
