Questions and Answers 2 Question: “Should the new bid proposal total continue to include the separate prices for the initial analysis and assessment actions, or should these actions be considered part of the stated fixed hours for each of the CLINS?”
Answer: “Either way is acceptable.”
Question: “Under the current DEOMI AV Systems Maintenance contract (2009-2014) for the Critical and Non-Critical CLINS, there are two separate hourly rates depicted, depending on whether a AV technician is required or control system programmer is required; the latter is at a higher rate. From our experience, the majority of hours in these CLINS is used at the AV technician rates. It is impossible for us to predict in advance how many hours will be needed for an AV technician vs a control system programmer. Should we simply apply the AV technician rate to the number of hours and make a note that if control system programmer is required that the higher rate will apply?”
Answer: “As contractors in the field of work and with your experience of work, you would have a better understanding of what amount of hours would be needed for the technician versus the programmer.”
Question: “How should we attempt to estimate how much materials (NTE $10K) will be used in the ensuing years as this is variable and not within the control of the maintenance contractor?”
Answer: “You do not have to provide a dollar amount for the fourth line item. We are computing it as NTE $10K.”
