About this file

The Department of the Air Force Space Command is moving forward with site visits in March 2017 to Beale Air Force Base in California and Clear Air Force Station in Alaska. Interested parties are reminded to promptly submit RSVPs and make hotel reservations, as local accommodations near Beale AFB may fill due to evacuations from damage to nearby dams. The visit to Clear AFS will proceed as planned, but the visit to Beale AFB could be cancelled or postponed depending on weather conditions. The government will not reimburse any costs related to the site visits. Interested offerors should review the federal business opportunities website for any updates.

SUBJECT: FA2517-15-R-8001 SITE VISIT UPDATE TO BEALE AFB AND CLEAR AFS
1. This is a notice to inform all interested parties that the government is moving forward with the planned site visits to both Beale AFB and Clear AFS in March 2017. Attendees are reminded to submit their RSVPs AS SOON AS POSSIBLE using the instructions posted on 31 January.
2. Due to the damaged Oroville Dam emergency spillway and main spillway situation in
California, many local residents are under evacuation watch and, depending on the weather, could be evacuated at any moment. Accordingly, vacancies at local hotels may fill up soon. It is recommended that interested parties make hotel reservations as soon as possible. Most visitors to Beale AFB stay in Roseville, CA. If Roseville or the surrounding area is full, Sacramento is approximately a 45-minute drive from Beale
AFB.
3. If the weather situation in California worsens, the Government may cancel or postpone the site visit to Beale AFB. The site visit for Clear AFS will remain as planned. Should cancellation or postponement of Beale become necessary, the Government will post an update to FedBizOpps as well as contact all offerors who have responded to the
Government’s RSVP.
4. All attendees are responsible for their own travel costs, including any cancellation fees.
The Government will not reimburse contractors for any costs related to the site visit.
5. Please contact the Contracting Officer if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you.
