About this file
This addendum to a federal contract opportunity outlines requirements for large aircraft wash services at Eglin Air Force Base. The service provider will be required to wash 10 C-130 aircraft per month using technical order procedures. Qualified personnel must have three years of C-130 maintenance experience and technicians must have prior experience working on C-130 aircraft within the last five years. Additional details include normal operating hours, procedures for working outside normal hours, maintenance documentation requirements, wash schedules, and quality control requirements. The addendum also specifies equipment, facilities, training, hazardous material handling, and reporting that will be provided or required.
This pre-solicitation notice provides an opportunity for industry to comment on a draft request for proposal for a seven-year backshop maintenance contract at Eglin Air Force Base. The resultant contract is anticipated to provide backshop maintenance services in accordance with an attached performance work statement. The final solicitation will use NAICS code 488190 with a size standard of $32.5 million and full and open competition. The draft RFP and any amendments will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities website for industry to review and submit comments by November 12, 2019. A final RFP is anticipated to post on December 9, 2019 with proposals due on January 13, 2020.
