Specification states contractor shall be responsible for all master box plug outs/plug ins and pay all associated fees and permits if required. Are additional master box plus out/plug in’s (besides the testing), billable or do we need to include the cost of all plug out/plug in’s that may occur during this 3 year contract time-frame in our testing price?

Fire Alarm Contractor is responsible for all municipal master box “plug outs/plug ins” during Elevator Recall Testing only . All additional master box “plug out/plug ins” can be billed on an hourly basis, based on the stand by rate agreed to under this contract. NSCC will provide an updated rate sheet to reflect this change.
Specification states contractor coordinate and will include up to 2 service visits annually to assist NSCC service vendors that perform work related to or impacts fire alarm and emergency notification systems. Please clarify this statement. Does this mean we are to include in our testing price 2 service calls or standby’s per location or what is this asking that we include in the test price?
This statement is no longer required and will be removed from the RFP. A flat hourly rate will be requested on the bid sheet for a “stand by technician” .
Spec then goes on to state contractor shall be present for all elevator recall testing. Fire alarm contractor will invoice NSCC directly for these services. So is it billable per this statement or is it covered per the above statement in the spec?
A flat hourly rate will be requested on the bid sheet for a “stand by technician” .
Is the elevator testing done during normal business hours or over time hours?
Elevator testing is allowed during normal business hours. Please see pg. 14 “Fire Alarm Elevator Recall Testing “ section for more details.
Does NSCC require the alarm company provide 2 technicians for the state elevator testing, as that is normally what is required and if so that line item on the form is for the 2 technicians per elevator please confirm?
Please see pg. 14 “Fire Alarm Elevator Recall Testing “ section NSCC can assist with the monitoring of the system while the box is “called out” through the use of our campus police .
NSCC is seeking a flat rate per campus for this work for one Fire Alarm Technician to be on site during elevator testing as requested by the elevator maintenance company.
