Statement of Work for Dining Facility Kitchen Equipment Replacement 379th Expeditionary Force Support Squadron Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar
1. Description of Services
Contractor shall provide all qualified manpower, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, supervision, management and all other related items required to complete the project as per the scope of work and specifications stated below.
1.1 Summary of Major Tasks
1.1.1 The Contractor shall be responsible to supply and deliver all kitchen equipment listed in this statement of work for the BPC, Cold Grab, Hot Grab, Independence and Manhattan dining facilities at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar.
1.1.2 The Contractor shall be responsible to deliver all new kitchen equipment to the rations warehouse building #10145.
1.1.3 The Contractor shall be responsible to provide necessary vehicles to transport and offload the new salad bar units to Independence DFAC building #1101.
1.1.4 The Contractor shall be responsible to remove existing salad bar, and install the new salad bars at the Independence DFAC.
1.1.5 The Contractor shall be responsible for providing a salad bar that fits through the doorway at the Independence DFAC, the dimensions of the entry point are 1.2 meters X 2.2 meters. The unit shall ship in multiple compartments and once through the doorway, assembly is required.
1.1.6 The Contractor shall be responsible to transport the old salad bars to the designated area for disposal on Al Udeid Air Base as instructed by the government.
1.1.7 The Contractor shall be responsible to provide all necessary certified offloading equipment and offload all items from trailers.
1.1.8 The Contractor shall be responsible for the removal of all debris and trash to the designated trash/wood & metal containers.
2. Assumption of Responsibility
2.1 The Contractor shall be responsible for providing qualified and certified technician(s) in all projects pertaining to the new equipment and Independence DFAC salad bars.
2.2 The Contractor shall provide certified electricians to disconnect electrical utilities to existing salad bar and reconnect existing utilities to the new salad bar units by providing all necessary tools and parts needed for proper electrical installation.
2.3 The Contractor shall provide certified plumbers to disconnect plumbing utilities to existing salad bar and reconnect existing plumbing utilities to new salad bar units by providing necessary tools and parts needed for proper plumbing installation.
2.4 The Contractor shall be responsible to provide Gate Passes as required by the Qatari Government in order to be able to access AUAB.
2.5 The Contractor shall be responsible to ensure that there are enough escorts to support the number of employees on site at all times by coordinating with the Contracting Officer.
2.6 The Contractor shall employ and provide one full time supervisor to supervise the project and who has experience in carrying out such type of work and who will be able to communicate in the English language.
2.7 The Contractor shall coordinate with ECES to ensure power is shut off at the breaker for the existing refrigerated salad bar units at the Independence DFAC prior to removal and that power is turned back on at the breaker upon completion of the installation of new units.
3. Work Area Protection
3.1 The contractor shall before working on any section of the project ensure all employees are equipped with proper protective equipment.
3.2 The Contractor shall not leave the work site in an unsafe condition or in any other condition that might cause injury to working personnel, damages to existing work, or equipment.
4. Workmanship Standards
The Contractor will ensure that care is taken to guarantee that the base surfaces are properly prepared and that the materials are used correctly. The workmanship and procedures described by the relevant Codes will be regarded as the minimum. The Contractor shall ensure new salad bar units at the Independence DFAC are clean, and free of any physical and mechanical defects after installation is complete.
5. Terms and Conditions
5.1 The Contractor shall ensure that materials are delivered in a timely manner (12-16 weeks) after award inside Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar.
5.2 The Contractor shall ensure all equipment meets the specified technical requirements as identified by the U.S. government and listed in the statement of work.
5.3 The Contractor shall ensure that all major kitchen equipment listed on this statement of work is in new condition directly from the manufacturer, genuine equipment and not counterfeit.
5.4 The Contractor shall ensure that all major kitchen equipment should be of the highest industry standard, and be capable of withstanding continued use in facilities operating 24/7 and serving upwards of 15,000 customers daily.
5.5 The contractor shall coordinate delivery of all the equipment with the designated representative of the U.S Government, and agree upon delivery times/dates that are acceptable to both the contractor and U.S Government.
5.6 The contractor shall be responsible to coordinate delivery and installation of the new salad bars with the designated representative of the U.S. Government and Facility Manager of the Independence DFAC. The contactor shall contact the designated representative of the U.S. government within one week of receiving the salad bars to schedule installation. The installation timeframe shall be acceptable to both the contractor and U.S. Government, additionally installation of the new salad bars must be performed in such a manner as to present the least impact on guests and dining operations.
