Questions & Answers 1.) How will the pick-up and delivering process work for each phase of the job? Will our teams have to walk-through the hospital for each pick-up and delivery? If so, will the items be delivered back to the same location as they are picked up? Or will there be an allocated pick up and drop off point for all items such as a loading dock?
Teams will have to walk through the hospital for each pick up and delivery. The most suitable time would be on Wednesdays from 0700 – 1000 when the hospital is closed to patient care. A representative from Nellis AFB will be available to escort and lead the contractor to each section and provide guidance. Further details will be provided during the post-award conference.
2.) Will each phase be picked up all at once and delivered all at once upon completion? Essentially 3 rounds of deliveries?
Each phase will not be picked up all at once. Phase 1 will commence and phase 2 will not begin until phase 1 is completed. Similarly, phase 3 will not begin until phase 2 is completed.
3.) Who will be supplying the fabric, Nellis Airforce Base or the subcontractor?
The fabric will be supplied by the awarded contractor.
4.) Are all the units and quantities up to date, and correct? Are there any items or quantity changes that need to be updated?
All items should be current, as of revision 3 of the PWS.
5.) Are the Maroon chairs that is not on the attached list that was also in several areas. We will need the vinyl selection and quantity for that as well to bid for that piece.
Red chairs will be included. Please see Appendix B. The red chairs will be repaired with material of the same color and likeness.
6.) Subcontractors are not responsible for any wood repair or damage that any pieces may currently have, correct?
Any current damage will be documented prior to items being picked up, and will not be the responsibility of the awarded contractor. Any damage caused during pickup, re-upholstery, or delivery, will be the responsibility of the contractor.
7.) Will there be a bid sheet that we will fill out for the project? Need to know how you want us to bid. By area or by piece? Piece would be easier.
Attachment 5 – Price List template provides a breakdown of the items being requested.
8.) If the subcontractor ends up completely phases ahead of schedule, they able to deliver early and start the other phases ahead of schedule?
Yes, they will be able to deliver ahead of schedule if they can deliver within the prescribed timeframes of 0700-1000 on Wednesdays.
9.) Should I include the tax in the quote for this solicitation? Or is this tax exempt?
Government is exempt from paying sales tax.
10.) Is the contractor able to complete the reupholstery at the hospital?
No. There is not sufficient space for someone to be able to complete the re-upholstery at the clinic.
