RFI 432 CS UPS Battery Replacement Summary
This is a Request for Information (RFI) document for UPS battery replacement services at Creech Air Force Base, Building 64. The requirement involves replacing batteries for two Enton 93PM-L-80 UPS systems (50 KVA each, Serial Number EN205UJJ05) with a combined total of 160 existing batteries to be removed. The contractor must deliver new batteries with all new connectors, intercell cables, and terminal hardware, perform functional testing to ensure load capacity and confirm no warning alerts, and handle removal and recycling or disposal of existing batteries. All work must be completed within 60 days of contract award, including delivery, installation, connection, testing, documentation, and acceptance. Services are to be performed during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM).
Site conditions require special handling due to infrastructure limitations: there is no loading dock; batteries must be hand-carried and transported via dolly through a doorway approximately 10 feet from the unloading area to the UPS room located at the back of Building 64; a warehouse across the street is available for staging both new and removed batteries; and the facility is located in a gated area requiring escorts and visitor clearances for contractor personnel (DBIDS, visitor passes, and escorts provided by government). The contractor is responsible for outsourcing pallet jack/forklift equipment with a minimum two-week notice, and spent batteries must be palletized and picked up within seven days of project completion. The OEM must reset battery timers and alarms using proprietary software upon completion, with pricing not-to-exceed $8,000.00 billed at actual cost. Parking is available near the unload area, and one-line diagrams or battery cabinet drawings were requested but availability was not confirmed in responses.
