About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) document for RFI 2 432 CS Battery Replacement, containing questions and answers regarding project logistics and technical specifications.
The RFI addresses three primary inquiries from potential contractors. First, regarding delivery logistics, the government clarifies that the storage area is approximately 20 feet from the street drop-off point to the bay door, and that trucks cannot back directly up to the warehouse door with a liftgate truck; contractors must refer to an attached photograph for the precise drop-off location. Second, concerning cable requirements, the government indicates that existing tie-in cable connections are already installed inside the cabinets, and contractors should plan to utilize these connections rather than sizing cables independently based on breaker size. The government offers to provide escorted access to cabinet wiring for quality control inspection if the contract winner requires it. The document includes an aerial photograph indicating the facility layout and drop-off location marked with a red star.

RFI 2 432 CS Battery Replacement
If we are responsible for oƯloading the truck, approximately how far (in feet) is the storage area from the drop-oƯ point?
From the street (where the truck will have to park to oƯload) to the bay door is roughly 20’.
Are we able to back directly up to the warehouse door with a liftgate truck? We will need specifics regarding inside delivery to the storage area.
No, see attached photo for drop-oƯ location.
Please provide the cable size and length of each existing cable required for the project or confirm if we should size based on the breaker size in the system.
To my knowledge, they would utilize already installed tie-in cable connections inside the cabinets. If the potential contract winner requires access to QC the cabinets wiring, we can escort as needed.
