About this file
This is a Statement of Objectives (SOO) for a window and curtain wall resealing project at Nellis Air Force Base. The contractor must furnish all labor, equipment, materials, transportation, and supervision to reseal 44 windows with bronze aluminum frames, 4 vent louvers with small window panels and bronze aluminum frames, and 6 curtain walls divided into 24 individual bronze aluminum frames at Building 2064 (Air Traffic Control Tower). The work involves removing existing dry rotted caulking and replacing it with new bronze-colored sealant, adding backer rod as necessary, and sealing interior window frames on the 9th and 10th floors.
The performance period is 45 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed, scheduled for August 2025. Standard working hours are 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. The contractor must provide boom lifts and submit a written safety plan due to extreme working heights, with safety harnesses required per OSHA standards. All materials require government approval via product data sheets and SDS forms before procurement. The project includes a one-year warranty from final acceptance, and the contractor is responsible for all debris removal off-site. Work must comply with applicable building codes including International Building Code, UFC standards, and Nellis AFB Installation Facility Standards. A site visit is strongly recommended due to the intricate project details.
