RFI HAZMAT Container

Q: What is "CLIN 0001" defined as? The scope of work "requirements prospectus" includes a column for "Required Items" (31ft x 9ft x 8ft container with one open bay concept) as well as "Optional/Suitable Substitutes" (67ft x 25ft x 11ft container with multiple compartments).

A: CLIN 0001 lists the minimum and maximum nominal size of the container.

Q: Are the minimum and maximum sizes listed the interior or exterior dimensions? If these are interior dimensions, are there limits to the exterior dimensions?

A: (MINIMUM SIZES)

Nominal: 31ft x 9ft x 8ft

Exterior: 30ft x 8ft x 7ft

Internal: 29ft x 7ft x 6ft

(MAXIMUM SIZES)

Nominal: 67ft x 25ft x 11ft

Exterior: 66ft x 24ft x 10ft

Internal: 65ft x 23ft x 9ft

Q: What will the container be placed on (eg. a concrete pad, etc.)? This will dictate the type of anchor bolts used.

A: Concrete Pad

Q: Page 6 of the "requirements prospectus" lists chemicals that will be stored in the container. Please provide the total volume of these chemicals or a volume per container. This information will be important for establishing the design fire load and subsequently, the fire protection system used in the container.

A: The total volume of chemicals for the entire container will be no more than 4,400 gallons and no less than 2,000 gallons. NOTE: If measuring per compartment within the container, there will be no more 1,100 gallons per container but no less than 500 gallons.

Q: Please confirm whether a 2 or 4 hour fire-rated building and partition walls are required. The specs reference 2 or 4 hour fire-rated partition walls, but do not confirm which fire-rating is required. Also, please confirm the fire-rating for the building.

A: The 4 hr due to the possibility of storing pesticides.
