RFI 3
· Air Flow Requirement- The requirement is that the exhaust must achieve 1 cubic foot per minute for every square foot of floor space. Since it will be partitioned off, each section must have its own little exhaust fan. If each section is 40 square feet, then the fan needs to be able to pull 40 cubic feet per minute.
· Please confirm the specific building dimensions required for the overall building and the required storage capacity for each storage bay. Your recent attachments show shelving and storage capacity that were not included in your specification.
· The minimum and maximum is provided, anything in between these is a suitable substitute. The total volume of chemicals for the entire container will be no more than 4,400 gallons and no less than 2,000 gallons. NOTE: If measuring per compartment within the container, there will be no more 1,100 gallons per container but no less than 500 gallons.
(MINIMUM SIZES)
Nominal: 31ft x 10ft x 8ft
Exterior: 30ft x 9ft x 7ft
Internal: 29ft x 8ft x 6ft
(MAXIMUM SIZES)
Nominal: 67ft x 25ft x 11ft
Exterior: 66ft x 24ft x 10ft
Internal: 65ft x 23ft x 9ft
· You show 4' deep shelving units in your recent attachment, but do not included the length of shelving needed for each tier and bay. Also, OSHA does not recommend using shelving greater than 24" deep due to the arm reach required for storing these items.
· 24" deep is acceptable. See below for shelving size.
· 3. Please note that in order to meet your 3 hour required warranty response time, that the contractor will need to have multiple spare parts for every option located onsite. This is not something that we have ever seen in a chemical storage locker project and will add substantial costs for the additional spare parts needed to meet the requirement.
· No longer a requirement. Normal factory warranty is acceptable.
