Amendment #3 dated February 15, 2018 on RRP F18SOL10008 for an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (“IDIQ”) Contract for audiovisual engineering, integration, implementation, programming, maintenance, and support services responds to additional bidder questions.

Can you give us insight into what created the need to put out this IDIQ?

SMITHSONIAN RESPONSE: The intent is for SI to have a pre-qualified pool of vendors to draw from as requirements arise.

Do you have an idea of how many and the approximate value of task orders you are expecting to solicit for just the DC metro area in a year?

SMITHSONIAN RESPONSE: The amount would vary from year to year depending on the requirements of the Smithsonian Institution.

If awarded an IDIQ from this solicitation are we obligated to provide a proposal for every task order regardless of how many and how large they are?

SMITHSONIAN RESPONSE: No firms are not required to bid.

If awarded the IDIQ, is the Contractor required to submit a proposal - which includes a firm fixed price, a detailed cost breakdown showing numbers of hours and applicable rates for each utilized labor category listed in this contract and other direct costs, a work plan which includes a detailed description of how the work is to be accomplished, deliverable schedule and format for all deliverables, and an estimated time frame for completion - to every RFP or SOW issued to them by the Smithsonian Institution? SMITHSONIAN RESPONSE: The required submissions for task order solicitations will depend on the needs of the particular project.

Is the intent for on-site personnel to be placed at a Smithsonian facility as their regularly designated, day-to-day workplace during the task order period of performance?

SMITHSONIAN RESPONSE: No, that is not the intent. Contracts would be issued based on specific needs and tasks.

Can we get a signed Non-disclosure Agreement (NDA) prior to providing our financial statement?

SMITHSONIAN RESPONSE: Yes, Smithsonian will sign an NDA depending on the language in the NDA.
