About this file
This is a Debarment and Suspension Certification special provision document related to the TAFA Financial Audit contract opportunity in Texas. The document establishes certification requirements that bidders and contractors must meet to demonstrate their eligibility to participate in the contract. The provision outlines the mandatory declarations and attestations that prospective contractors must provide regarding their debarment and suspension status under federal regulations, ensuring compliance with federal procurement standards for state and local contract awards.
The certification requires contractors to affirm that neither they nor their principals have been debarred, suspended, or otherwise excluded from federal contracts or federally funded activities. Contractors must certify their understanding of the debarment and suspension regulations and agree to comply with applicable federal requirements. The provision establishes that false certifications may result in contract termination and other sanctions, making this a critical compliance document that all bidders must complete and submit as part of their proposal package to demonstrate their eligibility and good standing for contract consideration.

2. The certification in this clause is a material representation of fact upon which reliance was placed when this transaction was entered into. If it is later determined that the prospective lower tier participant knowingly rendered an erroneous certification, in addition to other remedies available to the Federal Government, the department or agency with which this transaction originated may pursue available remedies, including suspension or debarment.
3. The prospective lower tier participant shall provide immediate written notice to the person(s) to which this proposal is submitted if at any time the prospective lower tier participant learns that its certification was erroneous when submitted or has become erroneous by reason of changed circumstances.
