About this file
Summary
This is a Sample District Contract document for On-Call Well and Pump Maintenance and Repair Services in California. The contract establishes the terms and conditions under which a selected contractor will provide maintenance and repair services for water wells and pumping equipment on an as-needed basis for the district. The contract specifies that services are to be rendered upon request, with the contractor maintaining availability to respond to emergency and routine maintenance calls. The contract term appears to be structured with an initial period and potential renewal options, allowing the district flexibility to extend services based on performance and continued need. Specific response time requirements, service scope details, and performance standards are outlined to ensure timely and quality maintenance of critical water infrastructure.
The pricing structure utilizes a unit-rate or time-and-materials approach for billing services rendered, with rates established during the contracting process. The contract likely includes provisions for the contractor to maintain appropriate licensing and insurance coverage for well and pump work. Equipment, parts, and labor costs are typically itemized or covered under the agreed-upon rate structure. The district may have specific requirements regarding contractor qualifications, such as state licensing for well work and pump system expertise. The contract serves as a standardized template ensuring consistent terms across potential contractor selections and establishing clear expectations for service delivery, pricing mechanisms, and performance obligations.
