About this file
This is a Master Specifications document from the Executive Office for United States Attorneys (EOUSA) that provides detailed technical requirements and standards for construction and renovation of U.S. Attorney office spaces. The 59-page document includes comprehensive specifications for doors, walls, windows, finishes, millwork, HVAC, electrical systems, trial prep spaces, Secure Processing Rooms (SPR), and elevator control systems. Key requirements include specific door types with ballistic ratings, security features like electric strikes and magnetic contacts, STC-rated walls (45-50) for sound attenuation, specialized HVAC controls for computer rooms, and detailed electrical/security infrastructure requirements.
The document details exacting standards for materials and installation, including specific product models and manufacturers for items like locks (Medeco), door hardware (Von Duprin), and ballistic materials (North American Bulletproof). Notable requirements include ballistic-rated doors and windows in waiting areas, RF-protected secure processing rooms, dedicated HVAC systems for computer rooms, and detailed specifications for finish materials like carpet (CRI-rated) and millwork. The specifications emphasize security features throughout, with requirements for access control systems, door contacts, dedicated electrical circuits, and grounding of all metallic components. This appears to be the current version, updated March 10, 2022.
