About this file

This document is a technical specification section for sanitary waste interceptors, specifically a grease trap replacement project dated 11/07/2018. The specification covers the installation and requirements for grease interceptors, including detailed instructions for earthwork, installation, connections, and identification of underground structures. Key technical requirements include excavating for new grease interceptors, using CA-16 pea gravel for backfill with a minimum 4-inch depth, installing interceptors level and plumb, and using green warning tapes to mark piping and underground interceptor edges. The document references ASTM standards for materials like gray iron and ductile iron castings, and requires specific product data and shop drawings to be submitted for review prior to installation.
