Cab size is approximately 5’-4” Wide x 7’-6” Deep x 7’-10” Height.

The Proposer shall field verify all dimensions. Both elevators have a single motor operated door on one end of the cab approximately 3’-8” Wide x 7’-0” Height.

B. The elevator machine room is located in room 5005 (a penthouse on the 5th floor) that is accessed through the main mechanical room on this level, then out a man door onto the roof, and up a set of exterior stairs. Equipment for the modernization can be taken as far as the fifth-floor mechanical room via service elevator E5. From there it will need man-handled up into the machine room.

C. There is no work to modernize the existing Service Elevator (E5) in this contact.

D. All elevators currently have emergency power to the cab lights. Elevator #1 is on emergency power.

PROPOSER RESPONSIBILITIES

A. The Proposer shall deliver a turn-key project and shall include the work of other trades necessary and incidental to the elevator modernization including but not limited to demolition, electrical, sprinkler, plumbing, HVAC, controls, carpentry, painting, and concrete work. Damage to adjacent surfaces at all levels shall be repaired at the Proposer’s expense.

B. The Proposer shall provide all dumpsters and garbage services necessary for the removal and disposal of the old elevator equipment, construction debris, packaging, etc., necessary for the completion of this project. Dumpster can be staged at the HSC Loading Dock area.

Proposers will need to obtain parking passes for their vehicles during construction.

C. For the protection of patrons and staff, the work area open for construction on each floor shall be cordoned off with a secure temporary partition and dust barrier. Signage shall be posted on the elevator doors at each level indicating the elevator is not in service.
