About this file

This is an Insurance Requirements exhibit for the Daytona Beach International Airport Taxiway P3 and P4 Improvements project involving Volusia County, Florida and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). The project addresses geometric deficiencies in existing taxiway connectors that do not meet current FAA Advisory Circular 150/5300-13B design standards, and includes replacement of lighting and signage systems that are approximately 20 years old. The improvements are documented in the Airport Master Plan Capital Improvements Program.

The insurance requirements mandate comprehensive coverage across multiple categories with specific limits and conditions. Contractors must maintain Workers Compensation with a waiver of subrogation, Commercial General Liability with $1,000,000 per occurrence and $5,000,000 general aggregate limits, Auto Liability with $1,000,000 combined single limits, Excess Liability, Contractors Pollution Liability at $1,000,000 occurrence/aggregate, and an Installation Floater covering all-risk wind, hail, and named storm damage. County and FDOT must be named as additional insureds on a primary and non-contributory basis for most policies with 10-day cancellation notice requirements. All subcontractors and independent contractors must maintain identical policy limits and terms. The certificate holder for notice purposes is Volusia County Purchasing & Contracts Division with 30 days written notice of cancellation required.
