About this file

Exhibit A is a detailed scope of work document from Seminole County seeking a qualified General or Building Contractor to replace hurricane-rated windows and storefront doors for county fire stations. The project will be completed over multiple years, allowing the county to request proposals from the awarded contractor for priority locations without soliciting new bids each time. The windows and doors must be commercial-style, hurricane-rated, impact-resistant units conforming to Florida Building Code and Miami-Dade Standards for High Velocity Hurricane Zones (HVHZ). Specifically, the county requires Eurocraft Industries Manufacturing brand windows and doors, with 500 series commercial storefront HVHZ impact windows and 600 series commercial storefront doors, all in bronze-colored aluminum frames.

The contractor will be responsible for complete removal and replacement of existing windows and doors, including obtaining necessary permits, providing a dumpster for debris, and ensuring all installations meet current building codes. Additional responsibilities include stucco, drywall, and paint repairs, reinstalling window blinds, and providing a two-year installation warranty in addition to the manufacturer's warranty. Work will primarily be completed during normal workdays (Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm), with the contractor required to submit a detailed project schedule and coordinate installation dates with the county project manager. The contractor must also document and be responsible for any pre-existing property damage and ensure the property is returned to its original condition upon project completion.
