The project scope requires removal of existing T-post fencing with contractor responsibility for disposal and installation of approximately 450 linear feet of agency-supplied Type CL-6 chain-link security fencing in accordance with Standard Drawing RD815 and Exhibit 2. The work must comply with the 2024 Oregon Standard Specifications for Construction with specified modifications to sections covering mobilization, erosion and sediment control, environmental protection, removal of structures, commercial grade concrete, and fencing installation. Project inquiries should be directed to Jessica Spann, Project Manager, at the Coquille ODOT office by telephone at (541) 315-5999 or email at Jessica.Spann@odot.oregon.gov.
The contract requires contractors to use only metal post and brace components with no wood posts or braces permitted. ODOT will furnish chain-link fabric, 2-inch mesh, 11-gauge line posts, brace rail, truss rod, stretcher bar, and tension wire, available at the ODOT Maintenance facility located at 61036 HWY 101 South, Coos Bay, Oregon 97420. All work not separately identified in the bid schedule for payment shall be performed as incidental work with no separate measurement or payment. Concrete footings for posts must cure for at least five calendar days before subjecting posts and braces to strain. The specifications detail specific installation requirements for fabric placement, wire splicing, gate installation, and finishing work to ensure proper fencing security and functionality.
