About this file
This document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) Correctional Institutions Division (CID) for the procurement of Full Body X-Ray Security Scanners. The TDCJ CID is seeking proposals that include labor and materials for the installation, maintenance, and warranty of the Full Body X-Ray Security Scanners. The RFP requires Respondents to provide pricing for both a Turnkey Solution and a Limited Solution, with the Turnkey Solution including additional networking and information management system components. The RFP outlines specific functional and technical requirements for the Full Body X-Ray Security Scanners, as well as Contractor requirements, installation and implementation timelines, testing and acceptance procedures, and training and maintenance/support expectations. Key dates include a pre-proposal conference on February 28, 2024, a proposal due date of March 13, 2024, and an expected contract term from contract award through August 31, 2025.
The RFP provides detailed pricing instructions, requiring Respondents to submit itemized costs for all hardware, software, and services. It also specifies allowable and non-allowable costs. The RFP does not mention any set-aside requirements, incumbent contractors, or funding sources. However, it does outline various reporting requirements the selected Contractor must adhere to throughout the contract term.
