About this file

This document is an amendment to a solicitation issued by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) for Full Body X-Ray Security Scanners. The amendment provides responses to questions from potential respondents regarding the scope of work, functional and technical specifications, networking and storage requirements, reporting, and system administration. The solicitation is seeking proposals for the labor and materials required to install, maintain, and warrant 24 Full Body X-Ray Security Scanners to be used across the TDCJ Correctional Institutions Division. The amendment specifies that respondents can submit proposals for either a turnkey solution or a limited solution. The solicitation requires the submission of an Accessibility Conformance Report and a HUB Subcontracting Plan. The contract term is not explicitly stated.

The amendment clarifies that the Full Body X-Ray Security Scanners are to be used exclusively for scanning inmates, and that the TDCJ network would need to be augmented to accommodate the system's requirements. The amendment also provides information regarding the existing inmate and employee identification systems, power and connectivity requirements, and testing and reporting specifications.
