I. GENERAL:

A. The virtual optional Pre-Submission Conference was held on August 16, 2023, at the Briscoe Administrative location. The Attendance Sign-In Sheets are included as part of this Addendum. The following questions and answers, including those presented at the meeting, have been edited for clarity.

1. Question: Are the buildings going to be occupied?

Answer: Yes, most of the buildings will be occupied but there will be some latitude to accommodate the required renovation.

2. Question: Is there a Theater season, so to speak, for the like the Kokernot area, summer performances?

Answer: The Kokernot Amphitheater is primarily used during the summer. There are other theaters on campus that can and are used for rehearsals and performances. The University will work with the Design- Build entity to accommodate the required work at this location.

3. Question: We had a question about availability of existing drawings, what type digital, or PDF files of the different buildings do you guys have available to the design team?

Answer: The University has CAD drawings that were prepared during the recent campus master plan process that it will share. There are also some blueprints and as-built drawings and digital files from previous renovations.

4. Question: Does the University have any records of any of the deferred maintenance like systems replacements, upgrades, things like that?

Answer: The University has an accounting of deferred maintenance needs. Many of these are included in the Program of Requirements provided with the RFQ.

5. Question: Will the project require full scale abatement, anything like that?

Answer: It is anticipated that asbestos containing materials (ACM) will be encountered as part of the project with floor tiles, mastic, pipe insulation, and drywall compounds being the most likely sources. The University has previously tested for ACM and has reports available. Any abatement that is required to perform the required renovation work will be part of the Design-Build scope of work.

6. Question: Given the remoteness of Alpine, how will you handle plan reviews and inspections?

Answer: It is anticipated that many of the plan reviews can be handled virtually, but there will need to be occasions when on-site inspections of existing systems and meetings are held in Alpine. Inspections will

The University will work with the successful respondent to limit travel needs during the Pre-Construction phase of the project, but travel and an on-site presence will be necessary during construction.
