About this file
This Addendum 4 document issued by the University of Texas at El Paso Department of Purchasing and General Services provides responses to bidder inquiries for RFP No. 724-2610-SF, a Vivarium Test and Balance (TAB) project with a scheduled submittal deadline of June 9, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. MST. The project encompasses testing and balancing services across four vivarium buildings totaling approximately 13,573 square feet: the Bioscience Research building (5,179 sq ft with 7 rodent holding rooms, 3 procedure rooms, and 7 other rooms), the Interdisciplinary Research building (4,608 sq ft with 7 rodent holding rooms, 11 procedure rooms, and 10 other rooms), the Biology building (2,159 sq ft with 5 procedure rooms and 3 other rooms), and the Psychology building (1,627 sq ft with 4 rodent holding rooms, 10 procedure rooms, and 5 other rooms). Services include testing and verification of air handling unit and exhaust fan schedules, VAV schedule adjustments, and sequence of operations verification across all four facilities.
The mechanical requirements mandate specific ventilation specifications: animal holding and procedure rooms require 12–15 air changes per hour, standard procedure rooms require 12 air changes per hour, and bedding storage rooms require 10 air changes per hour. The contractor must test, verify, and adjust equipment including multiple AHUs and exhaust fans configured uniquely for each building, with the University reserving the right to adjust final pressure relationships based on operational needs identified by Vivarium staff, researchers, Environmental Health & Safety, and Facilities Management. The document does not disclose contract value, pricing terms, set-asides, or incumbent information. All proposal submissions must be made electronically through the University's Miner Mall Sourcing Manager website, and bidders must electronically acknowledge receipt of this Addendum 4 for their proposals to receive consideration.

QUESTION RESPONSE
I’m writing with a question on RFP, 724-2610-SF Addendum 2 (Vivarium TAB). If this is not the correct way to submit questions, please let me know. I didn’t see a question section on the RFP.
I am looking at the attachments, and I don’t see any drawings for the buildings. To provide an accurate quote and to balance to the design specifications, we would need mechanical drawings specifying equipment to be tested and the equipment specifications.
Can you please tell me if I’m not looking at the site correctly? If there are no drawings, are you able to provide them?
See below for response.
