About this file

This is Addendum 2 to a Request for Competitive Sealed Proposals issued by the University of Texas at Arlington's Office of Facilities Management for an indefinite-quantity blanket order contract covering masonry restoration, brick and paver repairs and installation, and facilities waterproofing services. The addendum, dated April 22, 2026, updates the pricing sheet to include additional line items 57–65 in the DEMO section, which specify various paver installation and removal options such as concrete and clay pavers over sand beds with sand joints, concrete and clay pavers over mortar beds with grout joints, and new paver installations. The bid opening date and time is April 30, 2026, at 2:00 PM CDT. The contract will operate on an as-needed basis with multiple awards anticipated, and the initial term is two years with two successive two-year renewal options, potentially extending the contract duration to six years.

The addendum clarifies two key pricing matters: Payment and Performance Bonds should not be included in unit pricing and are only required for task orders exceeding specified thresholds, though if a bond is required for a specific project, its cost may be included in the project quote once assigned; additionally, the University does not pay surety premiums directly but allows contractors to include bond costs in project quotes when applicable. Respondents must submit comprehensive unit pricing for over 100 work categories detailed in the pricing proposal, including equipment rentals, sealants, coatings, pointing, masonry repairs, waterproofing, and investigative/consulting work. The contract is contingent upon continued appropriation of funds by the Texas Legislature and the University of Texas System Board of Regents, with an estimated cumulative value of at least $100,000 during the base period and each option period, potentially totaling approximately $600,000 over the full six-year contract period.

CLARIFICATIONS:

Please see the additional items in the Pricing Sheet that has been updated to include in the DEMO section of the pricing sheet lines 57-65, (see attached below).

Q: Is an estimated cost available for the Masonry Restoration, Brick & Paver Repairs & Installation, and Facilities Waterproofing project?

A: This is based on an as needed basis, and dependent on receiving projects. This will also be a multiple award.

Q: Payment & Performance Bonds — Should the cost of the Payment and Performance Bonds be included in our unit pricing, or will the University be paying the surety directly for the bond premium?

A: Payment and Performance Bonds should not be included in pricing. These bonds are only required for Task Orders that exceed the thresholds identified in Section 1.28. Additionally, the University does not pay the surety directly for bond premiums. However, if a bond is required for a specific project, the cost may be included in the project quote once it is assigned.
