About this file
This document is an Ichthyologist Qualifications form attachment for a state contract opportunity involving the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD), U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), and National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). The form requires qualified ichthyologists to demonstrate professional qualifications and project experience through structured documentation. Candidates must complete education credentials, years of professional experience, work history descriptions, and details of six habitat assessments, presence/absence surveys, relocations, or similar actions for imperiled fish species completed within the past ten years. At least three of the required surveys must have been completed for species located in Texas and must follow protocols established by NMFS, TPWD, USFWS, or other scientifically acceptable standard methods. Each project requires documentation including project name, client information, final deliverable approval date, specific location and water body details, protected or imperiled species involved, survey type, protocol used, and a project description not exceeding 250 words that clearly explains the ichthyologist's roles and responsibilities.
Applicants must also provide copies of any relevant permits held, including TPWD, USFWS, and NMFS permits, which must list the permittee's name matching the submitted candidate and identify fish species covered. Only permits with relevant fish species will be counted toward the qualification requirements. The form includes specific fields for permit numbers, permittee names, and species covered for each agency permit. No pricing terms, contract duration, or award information is included in this qualifications attachment.
