About this file
This is Addendum One issued by Midwestern State University's Office of Purchasing/Contract Management in Wichita Falls, Texas, dated February 18, 2025, for RFP 735-2025-4405 regarding the provision and installation of door locksets and hardware. The addendum addresses seven technical questions about hardware specifications, confirming that Corbin Mortise locks will need doors drilled for thumb turns, Von Duprin exit devices will require new functionality with thumb turns instead of hex keys, and both devices must be fire-rated. The document clarifies that the hardware list contains the relevant part numbers, confirms one door is LHR (Left Hand Reverse) and the other RHR (Right Hand Reverse), and notes that existing mortise lockset doors are machined but require drilling for thumb turns. The addendum states that the question submission period has closed and no additional questions will receive responses.
The document appears to be part of a larger procurement effort for door hardware upgrades at the university, though specific pricing terms and funding details are not included in this addendum. The addendum focuses solely on technical clarifications regarding hardware specifications and installation requirements, serving to ensure bidders have accurate information for proposal preparation. Vendors are reminded to acknowledge receipt of this addendum on the Addenda Checklist as part of their submission process.
